        These 
          two soldiers are probably hurrying to form part of a royal procession. 
          The man on the right grasps a sling and holds an oval shield awkwardly 
          under his right arm, as if not quite prepared for inspection. His companion 
          holds an ax in his left hand, clutches a spear in his right, and slings 
          his shield over his right shoulder.
