Stela of Wesi Decorated Balustrade fragment

Wesi offers bunches of lotus blossoms. His wife Ipuy shakes a sistrum, a special rattle often played by women at religious ceremonies, and holds a menat, a ritual ornament.

Akhenaten and Nefertiti hold up vessels containing sacred substances, offerings to Aten. Their daughter shakes a sistrum, the same rattle used in the worship of earlier gods.
