In Akhenaten's "Great Hymn to Aten," he sets forth the worship of Aten
as the creator of all things on earth, in all their variety, and speaks
of Aten filling the world "with man and the family of creatures. " Many
images of everyday activities appear in the carvings from Akhenaten's
temples at Karnak and Amarna.
